The University Research Centre for Law, Governance and Public Policy was established in 2009 to bring together scholars with a common interest in the development, practices, processes, outcomes and operation of public policy. Its particular focus is on the way that the law can promote good governance and good public policy. Our mission is to foster cross-disciplinary research involving academics throughout Bond University that raise public policy and regulatory issues.
The Centre acquires and distributes funding to a number of national and international research projects. It facilitates symposiums, conferences, workshops and a regular speaker series on current issues in law and policy in Australia and internationally.
In the first half of 2011 we have convened two major symposia and produced three research grant applications. A series of publications, and more workshops and grant applications, will emerge in 2011-2012.
