On 3-4 July the APCD and the China Foreign Affairs University (CFAU) in Beijing held their first joint symposium on ‘China’s Future Diplomacy’. The impetus for the Symposium was the observation that although the nature of China’s future international relations and foreign policies is now the subject of debate among academics, officials and much of the public, there is not the same robust exchange about the nature of China’s future diplomacy.
