Abstract
Extract:
The U.S. automobile market provides an interesting application of the quality and warranty lilerature, in that there appears to be an inverse relationship between these two product characteristics. Notably, warranties on domestic cars typically are more extensive than those on imported cars, while imported cars typically have lower complaint rates.
