Abstract
Extract:
Once upon a time in a faraway place called the university classroom, students were being taught the new definition of security in the 1990s. It was no longer the Cold War’s nuclear terror or the range and sophistication of our principal weapons systems. Power, nowadays, has more to do with trade and economics, the teacher intoned. Particularly the power of the global financial system.
