Abstract

The Upper Albany Micro Business Incubator (MBI) is a service-learning program that brings together university faculty, students, inner city entrepreneurs, and community organizations to create an environment of mutual learning, respect, understanding and collaboration with the aim of community revitalization and economic development. The MBI offers students the opportunity to experience a live case with tangible results. This paper describes a "road map" for launching and manging this type of initiative. © 2006 WACRA®.
