Abstract
Extract:
Like many countries, France experienced a revival in mediation at the beginning of the 1970s. The phenomenon was heralded by the creation of the position of ‘Mediator of the Republic’, followed by the first experiments in neighbourhood and victim–offender mediation in 1985, family mediation in 1988 and school mediation in 1992.
