Extract:The General Insurance Enquiries & Complaints Scheme (GIECS) began in 1991 with the formation of the first General Insurance Claims Review Panel. A company, Insurance Enquiries & Complaints Ltd (IEC), was formed in 1993 and now administers the GIECS.
